Improve Road conditions

Wild and Wonderful West Virginia blesses us with the most beautiful and unique scenery in the entire country. It also provides some of the most difficult terrain to maintain roads and bridges. Our state is currently suffering the effects of an outdated and deteriorating infrastructure system that was designed for transportation demands that are very different from the needs of today. We must improve our roads to allow for quicker, more efficient travel and to prevent damage to our vehicles in our daily commutes. Improving our infrastructure will help our state be more competitive in attracting more jobs. With infrastructure improvements, companies will want to locate here. I will introduce legislation to bring accountability and transparency to our department of transportation and ensure that tasks are completed on time and under budget. To address these needs, I will work with colleagues in Charleston and at the national level to ensure our state is a priority for infrastructure improvements.
